Wildhunt is a Thrash/Heavy Metal band from Vienna, Austria. Formed in 2011, they have since been able to carve out a trademark sound that combines the vigorous riffs and ferocious harmonies of the glory days of Metal with intricate song structures and arrangements. Lyrically, the band frequently weaves dark tales that, beneath the surface, often explore the complexities of the human mind and society.

Their debut EP “Scenting the Prey“ (2012) quickly caught the attention of the international old-school metal scene, leading to numerous shows abroad and a record deal with Metal on Metal Records. In 2016, Wildhunt unleashed their critically acclaimed first full-length “Descending“, which made its way into several year-end “best of” lists. A European tour alongside Vigilance (SLO) and Körgull the Exterminator (ESP) helped cement their reputation across borders.

Having since appeared at festivals, on TV, and as support for renowned acts like Vicious Rumors and Destruction, the band is now entering their next chapter: their long-awaited second album “Aletheia” (Jawbreaker Records, 2026). Across seven tracks, Wildhunt push their sound into uncharted realms – a relentless mix of high-energy Thrash and Heavy Metal, epic arrangements, matured songwriting, and thought-provoking lyrics. The result is a rollercoaster of emotions that never loses its sharp edge, offering a true gem for fans who like their Metal out of the ordinary.
